When everything is working correctly Equilab should be around 97% correct so if you are below that look at the different solutions below. If you have gotten an misclassified part on your training you can as well go into the training > press timeline > press the misclassified section > press change gait.
Carriage Driver
To get Equilab to track your gait you need to place the phone on the horse or be on the horse while riding. The result will not be as good as when you have it on you as a rider but for many carriage drivers it get close to the 97%.
Uncommon horses
Equilab goal is to make the app work for all type of horses but we are not there still. Some horses that we are aware often have problems with the app is shetland ponies, retired trotters and andalusian horses. Moreover horses that have more than the basic gaits is often more difficult for the app to detect.
Phone Specific
Equilab utilises the accelerometer and the gyroscope in your device and on some models the manufacturer have saved costs by cutting the quality of these. This results in more uneven reporting and an overall lower quality. If this is the case for your device can most easily be checked by testing another device and compare the quality.
