Posture Coach uses AirPods to help riders ensure they keep their heads up while riding. This enables them to maintain both good posture and safety while riding. Premium users who have enabled the feature will receive audio feedback whenever their headphones detect that they are looking down.
How to use Posture Coach
Before you start riding, make sure that your AirPods fit tightly within your ears so that they don't move around.
To enable Posture Coach, take the following steps before you start riding:
- Ensure that your AirPods are connected to your mobile device, and are selected as the audio output
- Navigate to the Track tab within the app
- Then, tap the "Coach" button
- Toggle on the option for "Posture Coach"
- Chose which level you want to use: Medium or Hard
- (The levels determine how far down you can look before you are reminded to look up - "Medium" allows)
- Start riding with your new coach!
You can calibrate your AirPods either when enabling the feature or when you start a training. It is important that you follow the voice's instructions. The calibration makes sure that you get receive the proper audio feedback.

Why we created Posture Coach
The vertical seat is a foundational element of the Equestrian sport, and is also one of the most difficult aspects to master.
A well-known issue among riders is looking too far down (towards the horse's neck) instead of forward. When the rider’s head is out of alignment, the posture collapses forward. This means your head can bob, causing you to limit your vision and lose your ability to turn the horse. Posture Coach works as an “in-ear” personal coach, that when used regularly can help you become a more balanced rider.
