Edit a saved ride

Change the horse or training type, add a note, ground type, ratings or photos, trim the start or end, or make it private.

Correct or complete a training after you've saved it, for example to add the horse you forgot to choose. Editing is free on iPhone and Android.

Edit a training

  1. Open the training. You can find it in the feed on the Home tab, under Trends > All trainings, in the Calendar tab, or under Profile > Trainings.

  2. On the Training Summary, tap the three dots in the top-right corner.

  3. Tap Edit.

  4. Make your changes.

  5. Tap Save.

What you can change on a saved training

In the edit view you can change:

  • Horse: choose a different horse you've added in the app, or add a horse if the training has none.

  • Training type

  • Note

  • Ground type

  • Horse performance and rider performance: a rating from 1 to 5, where 5 is best.

  • Photos and videos: add new ones or remove existing ones.

  • Trim: cut off the start or end of the training.

  • Gaits (non-mounted trainings only, such as a drive): add or change them by hand, since Equilab doesn't detect gaits on these trainings. See Record non-mounted trainings.

To make a training private, tap the three dots on its Training Summary, tap Edit, switch on Private training and tap Save. A private training is hidden from your friends: see Who can see your rides, profile and horses.

You can't change the date and time of a saved training. To correct the gaits on a mounted training, use Gait Segments, which needs Premium: see Correct the gaits on a ride (Gait Segments). Gait Segments isn't available for non-mounted trainings.

What happens after you save

  • Your changes, including a new or changed horse, show everywhere the training is saved: in the feed on the Home tab, under Trends > All trainings, in the Calendar tab and under Profile > Trainings.

  • If you changed the horse or trimmed the training, Equilab checks your Records again. A Record can be gained or lost.

  • If the training has a Ride Replay, the Ride Replay updates to match your edits.

Editing works a little differently when the training holds one of your personal bests:

If the training holds a Record

When you edit a training that holds a Record, Equilab shows a warning before any changes are made.

  • If you continue, your edits are saved and your Records are recalculated. Trimming or changing the horse can remove the Record from this training.

  • If you don't continue, the edit is canceled and the Record stays as it was.

If your changes don't show

  • The training doesn't show for the horse you added: open the Calendar tab and check the horse filter in the top-left corner. Choose Me to see all your trainings, or the horse you added. You can also check the training in the feed on the Home tab, under Trends > All trainings or under Profile > Trainings. See A ride or horse is missing.

If nothing helped, contact support and include the date and time of the training, the horse's name and a screenshot of the training.
