You can export your trainings from Equilab in two ways: one training's path as a GPX file for other mapping apps, or your trainings as a spreadsheet (CSV) file, either all of them or the ones from a period you choose. Both work on iPhone and Android.
⭐ This is a Premium feature. Exporting trainings as GPX or as a spreadsheet needs Premium. See Start Premium or a free trial.
Export one training as a GPX file
Open the training from the feed on the Home tab, Trends > All trainings, the Calendar tab or Profile > Trainings.
On the Training Summary, tap the three dots in the top-right corner.
Tap Export as GPX.
In your phone's share menu, choose where to save or send the file.
You now have the training's path as a GPX file. GPX is a standard format for location files, so you can open it in many mapping and navigation apps.
Export your trainings as a spreadsheet
You can export all your trainings, or only the trainings from a period you choose.
Open the Trends tab.
To export only one period, tap the period at the top right and choose it, for example Monthly, or set your own dates with Custom.
Scroll down the Trends tab and tap Export.
Choose to export all your trainings, or tap Selected Period for the period at the top right.
In your phone's share menu, choose where to save or send the file.
The export can be filtered by horse: choosing a horse in the dropdown at the top left changes what's exported.
Open the file in a spreadsheet app such as Microsoft Excel, Apple Numbers or Google Sheets. If all the data shows in one column, use the app's option to split text into columns. To find it, search the web for your app's name and "CSV to columns".
What's in the spreadsheet
The spreadsheet is a CSV file. Distances are in meters and times in seconds. For each training, it has:
Date, time and horse training type.
Duration (seconds), distance (meters), pace (meters per second), stride (meters), beat (seconds per step) and step count, for each gait (walk, trot, canter and tölt) and in total.
Total time in steep left and right turns (seconds).
The total number of transitions, and the count of each transition, such as walk to trot or stand to canter.
Ground type.
Horse performance and rider performance, from 1 to 5, with 5 being the best.
Training note.
If you corrected gaits with Gait Segments, the spreadsheet uses the corrected gaits.
Export a trail
To export a trail instead of a training, see Premium trail tools: share, filter, export and ride offline. Exporting a trail opens your phone's share menu, so you can send the GPX file by email or WhatsApp, or save it to a cloud drive.
If the export doesn't work
Check these, most common first:
You're asked to start Premium although you have it: check that you're logged in to the account with Premium. See I paid, but Premium isn't showing.
The numbers look too big: distances are in meters and times in seconds. To convert, divide meters by 1,609.34 for miles, or seconds by 60 for minutes.
All the data is in one column: use your spreadsheet app's option to split text into columns.
