Join the group your stable, barn, riding club or friends use in Equilab, so you can write posts, chat and share photos with the other members. Joining a group or stable is free.
Before you start
A group or stable is either public or private. You can find a public group by searching for it in Equilab. A private group doesn't show in search, and you can only join it with an invitation link.
Join a public group
On the Home tab, tap Groups in the header at the top.
Search for the group by name.
Tap the group to open it.
Tap Join group.
You're now a member of the group. You find it under Groups on the Home tab and on your Profile tab under Groups and stables.
If the group doesn't show in search, it's probably private. See the next section.
Join a private group
A private group or stable doesn't show in search, so you can't find it or ask to join it in Equilab. To join, you need its invitation link:
Ask the group's owner or one of its members to send you the invitation link.
Open the invitation link on the phone where you use Equilab. The group opens in Equilab.
Tap Join group.
You're now a member, and the group shows under Groups on the Home tab and on your Profile tab under Groups and stables.
Invite someone to a group
Every member of a group or stable can invite others to it, including to a private group:
Open the group from Groups on the Home tab.
Tap Invite to Group on the group's page.
Copy the link, or tap Share your link to send it in a message or another app.
When someone opens your invitation link on their phone, the group opens in Equilab and they tap Join group. To invite someone who is already your friend in Equilab, tap Invite next to their name in the list of friends below the link.
What you can do in a group
As a member of a group or stable, you can:
See the member list and who owns the group. The owner has a gold crown in the member list.
Write posts, and like and comment on other members' posts.
Chat with the other members.
Share photos.
Invite others to the group with Invite to Group on the group's page.
Group members don't see each other's trainings. You see another member's trainings only if you're friends: see Add or remove friends. To start a group for your own stable, see Create and manage a group or stable. To leave a group, see Leave a group or remove a member.
If you can't find a group
If a group or stable doesn't show when you search, it's most likely private. Ask the group's owner or one of its members for the invitation link. If you're not sure whether the group exists or is private, contact support with the group's name: support can check whether it's set to private.
