Create a group in Equilab for your stable, barn, riding club, riding school or friends, so your members can share photos and advice in one place. Any Equilab user can create a group or stable for free and becomes its owner.
Create a group or stable
On the Home tab, tap Groups in the header at the top.
Tap Create group or stable.
Fill in the group's details: add a group photo, the group's name, a description, the type of group and the location. The types are Club, Friends Group, Stable, Riding Group, Organisation and Other.
Leave Private off if anyone should be able to find the group, or turn it on if only people who are invited should be able to join.
Tap Save in the top right corner.
Your group is created and you're its owner. The owner has a gold crown in the group's member list. You find the group under Groups on the Home tab or on your Profile under Groups and stables.

Invite members to your group
You invite people to your group or stable from the group's page. This works for public and private groups.
On the Home tab, tap Groups and open your group.
Tap Invite to Group on the group's page.
Copy the link, or tap Share your link to send it in a message or another app.
To invite someone who is already your friend in Equilab, tap Invite next to their name in the list of friends below the link.
When someone opens your invitation link on their phone, the group opens in Equilab and they tap Join group. Members of your group can invite others the same way. See Find and join a group or stable.

Change your group's settings
Only the owner of a group or stable, the person who created it, can edit its settings, such as the type, location and privacy.
On the Home tab, tap Groups and open your group.
Tap the three dots in the top right corner.
Tap Edit.
Change the settings you need and save your changes.

A private group or stable doesn't show when other Equilab users search for groups. The only way to join it is with an invitation from the owner or a member: there are no join requests to approve. A new group is public until you turn on Private.
To make an existing group private, open the group, tap the three dots in the top right corner, tap Edit and turn on Private. Current members stay in the group, and you and your members can keep inviting new people with Invite to Group.
Delete a group or stable
To delete a group or stable you own, open the group, tap the three dots in the top right corner and tap Delete.
Remove a member from your group
Group owners can't remove members in the app. Ask the person to leave the group, or contact support to remove them. See Leave a group or remove a member.
If something didn't work
There's no Edit in the three dots menu: only the group's owner can edit the group. In the member list, the owner has a gold crown.
People can't find your group in search: the group is probably private. Invite them with Invite to Group on the group's page, or turn off Private in the group's settings.
