Leave a group or remove a member

Leave a group or stable in Equilab, and what the owner can do when someone should no longer be a member.

Any member can leave a group or stable in Equilab, on iPhone and Android. If you own a group and someone should no longer be in it, ask them to leave or ask support to remove them.

Leave a group or stable

  1. On the Home tab, tap Groups in the header at the top.

  2. Open the group you want to leave.

  3. Tap the three dots in the top right corner.

  4. Tap Leave.

You're no longer a member of the group. To join again later, search for the group if it's public. A private group can only be joined again with an invitation link from the owner or a member. See Find and join a group or stable.

Remove a member from your group

Group owners can't remove members from a group or stable in the app. The owner is the person who created the group and has a gold crown in the member list. If someone should no longer be in your group:

  1. Ask the person to leave the group. Members leave from the group's three dots menu: Leave.

  2. If they don't leave, make sure your group is set to Private before you ask support to remove them. If the group is public, the person could easily find it and join again. To make it private, open the group, tap the three dots in the top right corner, tap Edit, turn on Private and save your changes.

  3. Then contact support and ask us to remove them.

When you contact support, include the name of the group or stable and the name of the member to remove. Support removes the member from the group for you.

Still need help? Contact us in the app: go to Profile > Settings > Contact Support, or email [email protected].
