On the free plan, you can have one horse in Equilab. To add a second horse, you need Premium. Horses that another rider shared with you don't count toward this limit. If you get a new horse and your old horse is your only horse, you can delete the old one and add the new one.

You can have more than one horse on the free plan in these cases:

These horses stay in Equilab. On the free plan you can track with only one of them: your default horse, which is the first horse you added in the app.

Your default horse is the first horse you added in the app. On the free plan, that's the only one of your own horses you can track with. If you have more than one horse of your own, you can't change which one is your default horse.

With Premium, the horse you track with most is pre-selected in the Track tab. If you go back to the free plan, your default horse is again the first horse you added in the app.

On the free plan, you can still do this with the horses you can't track with:

You can't record new trainings or add calendar events with these horses. Nothing you recorded while you had Premium is deleted.

If you get a new horse and your old horse is the only horse in your Equilab profile, you can replace it on the free plan. Deleting a horse is permanent. Your trainings with the old horse stay on your profile without the horse's name. Its calendar events stay without a horse selected, and its Records are deleted.

You can now track with your new horse.

Only horses you created count toward the free-plan limit. If another rider shared their horse with you, you can track with that horse on the free plan too. See Share a horse with co-riders (Horse Team).
