How to export trainings

Modified on Fri, 3 Jan at 2:11 PM

Equilab offers two ways to export trainings as files. These options are available to Equilab Premium subscribers.

Export your path/track from riding

If you want to export a specific path you rode — for instance, to upload into another tool such as Google Maps — you can easily do so through the app. Simply take the following steps to export a training's map as a GPX file:

  1. Open the Equilab app, and navigate to the ride you want to export
    • You can do so via your Feed, Calendar, or Training list on your profile
  2. Tap on the training to view its Summary page
  3. In the upper right corner press the three dots
  4. Select the option to "Export as GPX"
  5. Choose where you want to share/store the file (it will open your device's sharing menu)

GPX is a standard format of location-based files, which makes it possible to upload into many mapping/navigation applications.

Export all trainings

Equilab empowers you to export detailed data from all of the trainings on your account or for a specific horse. You can do so by taking the following steps in the app:

  1. Navigate to the Trends tab
  2. Select the horse (or "Me" for all trainings on your account) that you want to export for in upper left corner
  3. Set the dates you want to export for in upper right corner
  4. Press Export
  5. Press Selected Period
  6. Choose where you want to share/save it (a menu will open on your device to select an option)
  7. Open up the exported file with a spreadsheet tool (such as Microsoft Excel, Apple's Numbers, or Google Sheets) to review and analyze the data.

If your favorite spreadsheet tool does not automatically format the data correctly, check out these guides on how to make it easier to view (or search for "[Insert name of tool] csv to columns" instructions via Google):
